The romance with the city rekindles as the thick fog embraces the Red.
Red, signifies to Skeety, the eternal beauty of Dilli. Dilli, Skeety's Darling.
A splash of Red here and a dash of Red there, bear testimony to the Red past (not violent, but beautiful).
The most captivating of them all, stand the walls of The Fort. Red again.A splash of Red here and a dash of Red there, bear testimony to the Red past (not violent, but beautiful).
Red, is what Skeety thinks, would have been the pre-dominant colour in Delhi during the Moghul era.
Marrakesh might be the Red City to the world, but to me my Dilli is Red.

Dilli ki gali mei ek roz Ghalib ki mehbooba ne unhe Laal Qilay ki diwar pe susu karte huye pakad liya.
Mehbooba: Ya khuda, Ye kya?
Ghalib janaab sakpakaaye aur bole...
Ghamgeen hoon teri yaad mei, mai aisa tere vaaste
Ki ansoo bhi ab dhoondhte hain, naye naye raaste
dRoZzY: Wah Wah Wah!
Lal Qilay ki aisi taisi kar di Ghalib Janaab ne to.... Yikes!
Well.. Dilli for me is a rainbow! It's beige during the summers, it's green when I am looking at the Qutab Minar from Vasant Kunj, it's bright red during the winters, it's black when no one follows the law...
